A Day with the Cycle Culture Community (C3)

🚴‍♂️✨ An incredible day of inspiration and action with the Cycle Culture Community (C3)! 🌟

Today, I had the honor of chairing a meeting where we had the privilege of hosting the renowned Mr. Mahinder Singh, a true cycling legend from Nasik, Maharashtra, India. At 68 years of age, he embarked on an epic journey, cycling an astonishing 3600 km from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in just 12 days and 18 hours! 🌄🚴‍♂️But Mr. Singh's journey didn't start there. He sowed the seeds for this incredible feat years ago, proving himself as the oldest male to qualify for RAAM (Race Across America) after completing a grueling 650 km ride in less than 34 hours. 🌆

His dedication was evident as he cycled 1700 km from Nashik to Amritsar, participated in the Panch Takht ride, and meticulously prepared for the ultimate challenge - K2K, which he had to postpone due to the pandemic. 🚴‍♂️💪

Even in the face of adversity and extreme weather conditions, Mr. Singh persevered, and his story is a testament to the power of determination, fitness, and a balanced diet. He overcame every obstacle, proving that age is just a number when it comes to achieving ones dreams. 🙌

Through this incredible journey, Mr. Singh's message is crystal clear: If he can accomplish such a remarkable feat at 68, then why can't you and I achieve our dreams? 🌠

Our Cycle Culture Community (C3) meeting was equally inspiring, as we discussed our goals and plans for promoting cycling and snowballing activism for cycle laws and infrastructure in Nepal. The dedication and passion of our Central Committee members are truly motivating. 🚴‍♂️

We tackled important issues such as organizational structure, financial transparency, art exhibitions, and extending our activities to all provinces. We also discussed a "code of conduct" and "organizational guidelines" to guide our path forward. 📊🗂

I couldn't be prouder to be a part of this community and to witness the incredible progress we're making. Let's remember Mr. Singh's example and keep pushing ourselves to achieve our goals, no matter the obstacles we face. 🌟

Thank you all the CC-CCC members for your dedication and friendship, and I look forward to the exciting journey ahead as we continue to make a positive impact on cycling in Nepal. 🚴‍♂️🇳🇵 #CyclingInspiration #DreamBig #C3Community

Myths of Smoking

There are several myths that can encourage smokers to continue smoking. Some of these myths include:

  1. Myth of stress relief: Some smokers believe that smoking helps reduce stress and anxiety, but in reality, nicotine addiction can lead to increased stress levels.

  2. Social acceptance: The idea that smoking is a social activity and a way to fit in or be part of a group can encourage people to continue smoking.

  3. Weight control: Some smokers fear gaining weight if they quit, but the relationship between smoking and weight control is complex, and quitting can lead to better long-term health.

  4. Smoking as a coping mechanism: People may believe that smoking helps them cope with life's challenges, but it often masks underlying issues and doesn't provide a healthy solution.

  5. Cool image: The perception that smoking is cool or rebellious can influence young people to start and continue smoking.

  6. Belief in the ability to quit anytime: Some smokers think they can quit whenever they want, but nicotine addiction can make it difficult to quit without support.

It's important to recognize and challenge these myths in order to make informed decisions about smoking and quitting.
