International Women's Day

At IRRI, where i am stationed these precious moments, there was 2 day  fun fare to celebrate International Women's Day. The IWD may be an opportunity to create awareness on the gender related issues in other parts of the world where women consider/find themselves less fortunate than their counterparts. Its right time for the women in IRRI to celebrate the day. At IRRI participation of women is high. In some sectors like Human Resources  the tender gender statistically out number the stronger gender.
