These dry grasses could pick up sparks from cigarette buts.
It was 3 pm our usual work time, there was a fire-alarm. We rushed out of laboratories and offices for safety. Fire alarms are usually short-lived when they are on test or when teased by cigarette smoker inside rooms. Today it was longer than usual. There was black smoke rising from roof and ceiling of Umali building. Here are some photos of the smoky event.
